1. About this policy
UniPints is operated by UniPints Limited. Contact privacy@unipints.com with questions about cookies or browser storage. Our Privacy Policy explains the wider use of personal information.
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser and sent with matching website requests. Local storage keeps information in your browser that website code can read. Although local storage is technically different from a cookie, rules about storing or accessing information on a device can apply to both.
2. What we use
The application uses necessary storage for requested account access and remembering your privacy choice, optional storage for analytics, and local storage for the location feature if you request it and your browser supports permission checks.

Local storage can also be removed by your browser, privacy settings or device clean-up. Browser storage expiry is different from the retention of information already sent to our servers.
3. Optional analytics
Selecting “Accept analytics” allows UniPints to record pub views, search-result impressions and deal, event and directions clicks. A random visitor identifier accompanies these events. We use them to understand website use and provide listing-performance statistics to venues.
The identifier can persist across visits. It is not your name or email, but it can distinguish your browser, so associated records are treated as pseudonymous personal information.
Selecting “Necessary only”, or leaving the banner unanswered, prevents this optional analytics. Essential security and request processing still take place to operate the website.
4. Changing your choice
Under the current implementation, you can reset your choice by clearing UniPints site data in your browser settings, then reloading the website and selecting “Necessary only”. This also removes locally saved preferences and may sign you out. Close other open UniPints tabs before doing this.
This stops future optional analytics from that browser once reset. It does not automatically erase analytics already held on our server. Contact privacy@unipints.com if you want to request deletion; our Privacy Policy explains how the visitor identifier can help locate records.
5. Location and sign-in controls
To stop location access, revoke UniPints location permission in your browser. To remove saved coordinates, clear the site's stored data. The location feature calculates distances on your device rather than sending those coordinates to UniPints.
You can block or remove cookies in your browser. Blocking authentication cookies may prevent staff or partner sign-in from working. Clearing local storage removes the analytics choice, so the banner may appear again; optional analytics remains off unless you accept it.
6. External websites and updates
When you follow a link to a venue, map, booking service or app, that provider may use its own cookies and storage under its own policy. This does not mean its tracking is enabled on UniPints itself.
We will update this policy when the technologies we use change and show the new effective date above.
